New LCR

Post by Winchster »

So, I just bought a new LCR in .357 I haven't gotten to take it to the range yet, but man is this trigger sweet. Got a heck of a deal too, Thanks Carl.

When you bring it to the range I would suggest some 38 cartridges as well as a few 357 loads. They kick like a mule, but are manageable. The 38's are easy on the hands in comparison..... Enjoy your LCR, mine gets carried as much as my Sig these days....

I almost bought that one the other day. I have a 3in SP-101 in .32 H&R mag and it is a work horse. Let me rephrase that, they are tanks. Is it new and how much did you pay? I saw them for $430 at the gun show last week. They really are a great value and I think everybody should have at least one Ruger SP-101. I just hated the grip on the LCR but I did love the trigger pull. I guess thats why I bought the bodyguard, plus it only cost me $433.00 out the door. Happy shooting!!

Cool. I've got an LCR with the XS sight coming shortly. Should pick it up later next week.

I bought another safe today, so if you all need a place to keep those new guns....

What'd ya get? I'm waiting anxiously to see if I get a bonus this year, if so, a new Liberty safe will find it's way to Rhome.

Went to the range today and shot both the LCR and the SP101. I really like 'em both, but I like the SP better. My wife on the other hand absolutely loves the LCR. It is a little brutal with full house .357's though. Both shoot extremely well and more accurate than I would have thought. I think I am going to be extremely happy with the SP as a daily carry. Anyway, thought I'd share the report.

Nothing fancy. Just a Redhead safe that was on sale at Bass Pro.

For anyone else, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it isn't a real safe, it's a home security device, or whatever you want to call it. But it is fire resistant, and it holds up to 24 long guns - although, like most such safes, it is configured to hold half that because one side of it has shelving.

Anyway, it was on sale for $749.95. We bought it for my son's guns. I was going to buy a second one for myself, when I realized while shopping around that my safe holds all of my guns just fine. So I bought him a safe, and when he moves out - which will be at the end of January - he'll buy the safe from me and move it to his new address.
