My New compact Big Boy Glock 39

Post by Voonman »

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to share a few photos of my new little big carry gun... It is the not so popular .45gap .. It impressed me when i first saw that it is the same exact size as the model G26/27 and 33 but shooting a big fat .45cal projectile ..for glock to fit a 45cal in such a small low profile frame sold me on the gun... The gap if no one is familiar with it..has identical balistics to the 45acp ..Ammo is not hard to find either most of my local gun shops carry a few boxes..Below i have posted a few pics with a comparison to my Glock 21sf with 50GI conversion..This is an awesome conceal carry weapon..I highly recommend it..

VM - Congrats on your new Glock. I shoot .45acp out of a G36 which is a little bit bigger but a little bit slimmer than your 39.

Yeah the G36 is a nice slim weapon ..they both hold 6+1 in 45cal ...i have the G29 which is about the same size as your G36 but not as slim...Here are some videos below that i made on youtube with G29 and G39

I got a Glock 39 about 2 months ago and have put 250 rounds thru it and it eat all of them! Can't say the same for a Glock 36 in .45 Auto. Did you get a fired casing with your 39? What is the date on it? My gun dealer ordered it for me and the casing package said fired on 4/28/2005. I believe this cartridge came out in 2003. You start to wonder how many Glock 39's have been sold after this date observation. When ammo got scarce, you could get 45 GAP. Get some Pierce finger rest bases for your mags, they help.

Yes i got a fired casing with my Glock39 ..the date on it is march 2010....the gun wasnt very popular due to the fact that the 45gap never really took off in the civilian market..But a few law enforcement agencies have adapted to this round as there main carry weapon...so the good side of it ..this wont be an extinct caliber anytime soon...I love this little pocket power house for its small size its light weight ..reliablity and its 45cal output...You cant ask for anything smaller and sweeter as this ;-) ..oh yes and i do have a +1 pearce grip extension on one of my mags..i use it ocasionaly..But i prefer the 2 finger grip
