Vintage Ruger in a Vintage Lawrence Holster

Post by doc540 »

Just took a quick pic of my 1968 Single Six, 4 5/8" in a Lawrence holster I just bought off GB.

Belt doesn't match yet, but I'm looking to add a matching, vintage Lawrence belt.

A 1967 SS in 4 5/8" in a Lawrence rig was my first handgun when I was 17 way back when.

Sure feels familiar.

This Ruger thing sure is fun, ain't it? :thumbs2:

Sure is pretty. There is just something about a vintage single action revolver. It kinda reminds you what made this country great.

Gotta love a Single-Six. Cheap to feed and fun to shoot. My 13-year-old daughter really likes this revolver. She can load/unload it safely, keeps the muzzle downrange, and is not afraid to shoot it.

There should be a law requiring everybody to own at least one Ruger single-action revolver. :txflag:

I had almost the exact same setup, but mine was Colt with the extra 22 Mag cynlinder. What was it called, Scout maybe?Same holster rig and belt. Got mine in 1964. Sold it while in college. Needed money to eat.

We used to fast draw at rats at the city dump. Only hit one after trying at too many to count. Scared a few more.
