1911 Springs in Dallas

Post by RAM4171 »

I need a new recoil spring for my Colt Oficers' and just went to order it fro Brownells and they were going to charge $5.35 for shipping, which seems kind of high for a part that costs $7.89.

Does anyone know where 1911 springs are available in the Dallas area? or where I can order them with free shipping? If I have to spend the extra I will, I just don't make it a habit of spending more than I have to. Thanks' in advance for your help and advice.

I cant really speak for Dallas area but what I think you are going to find is the place you can get "1" recoil spring will probably have, say, $11 or $12 on them & you still have to pay tax on that.

Most of us buy half dozen at a time. Cost from Brownells w/o tax, + freight, then is still well below $10.00. :tiphat:

But, if it comes up again, try Lee's Gun Parts in Irving.
