I have seen and handled and shot guns equipped with the Lasermax devices as well as the Crimson Trace (which is eliminated by your internal preference) and that weird unit that replaces the rear sight. My personal preference is the CT products, on models with a master on/off switch, followed by the Lasermax while I would never go with the other weird unit. There are knock offs of the Lasermax units, and my advice is to avoid them. Overall I say go for the Lasermax, I think you'll be happy with it.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

I put a Lasermax micro on my FNP9 since it is my bedside piece and don't have to worry about holsters. However I wouldn't hesitate to put an internal one on my XD9sc if I go that route. I don't think you can go wrong with a Lasermax.
