Would this be concealed?

Post by dws1117 »

Stupid Question. Would it be considered concealed If I had my gun on the front passenger seat and covered with a coat or something?

I've had this discussion with a friend and we are both of the same opinion. I'd like to hear your responses.

Always. Although I've not known of him to be a man of such few words. Short , simple, and to the point.

Yes, but...

Carrying it unsecured is generally regarded as a bad idea.

If you need ready access while driving, you're probably going to need it after some hard braking or swerving maneuvers. Right when you need it most, the gun won't be where you left it.

No disagreement. It is not the method I would choose. It was just a point of curiosity.

If you wedge it, like in my car between the center console and the seat, and then cover it. It's still handy and concealed but will not travel through out the passenger compartment. If you car travel alot I recommend a shoulder holster.

It is considered Concealed.

I agree with Roger Howard's method...I have a Ford SuperCrew with a 60/40 split bench. Shove it in the crack(holstered), then lower the console armrest to cover it.

I often put mine between the console and the passenger seat, then cover with the dog's blanket. (I trust him. He's never bothered my firearms before.)
I notice that if I pull the gun out, the holster stays put.
