Choice for Pocket Revolver

The NAA .22 is 2 maybe 3 times smaller than the Keltec .380 or Ruger LCP. The Keltec and Ruger both can be pocket carried with ease. The .22 is so much smaller and makes for much more comfort in carry. But it is no secret what you are giving up with the .22. As has been said it is better than nothing at all. It's also around $50 or so cheaper than the .380's.

I posted this in the wrong thread and just now realized it was in a pocket automatic question. My bad! I do know the difference.

I haven't looked at them in years but when I sold them when they were introduced in the 60's when it was hard to come by S&W and was impressed with the cost to quality factor of Charter Arms. I looked them up just now and they have expanded their line dramatically but the little Undercover DAO and Standard look to be reasonably priced @ about $400 manuf. suggested and available for about $300 from some sources.

Mine is a S&W J-frame .38 (model 637). Fits perfectly in an Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster and slips easily into front pants pocket.

Just to wrap up this conversation thread. I actually made a purchase of an LCR 357 today to fulfill this "need." I'm on the hunt for a nice pocket holster for it now that doesn't increase the size of it too much.

Define "nice." I've been using a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for a couple of years now. I think it set me back $19.95. It ain't pretty, but it works.

Define "nice." I've been using a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for a couple of years now. I think it set me back $19.95. It ain't pretty, but it works.

I've been using a Galco horse hide pocket holster. It's very durable and has retained it's shape well with constant use. Plus, it doesn't transfer sweat in the summertime.
It will cost you about fifty bucks but should last for many years.

You know, I don't know what I define as "nice" for this yet. I think I want something form fitting versus just stuffed in there. The Nemesis you have adds a little to the thickness because its just kinda foam that doesn't have a shape to it. However, it doesn't show the outline of a gun either. So I'm kinda unsure at this point.

Collectors has a good selection of Galco and other holsters in stock, maybe I'll run through and check some of those out. Also A Gun Shop upon Hwy 6 and Clay has a pretty good selection. Tomball Pawn had a bunch of stuff in their bin but nothing that worked for the LCR (bought a Galco for my XDm for $10 though!). I do like the ones from Bearcreekholsters up in New Braunfels so I might consider that too. So I guess I'm still on the search.

S&W 642 Talo edition with if the .45 can't go. Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster for cargo shorts or a High Noon Bare Asset for pajamas or flannels. Yes I said pajamas because the only time I am unarmed is when asleep or in the shower in both instances there is a gun with in reach.

So I spent a lot of the time at the show at the GRB looking at different pocket holsters for the LCR. Turns out the one I picked over all the others I tried was a Desantis Nemesis just like TAM suggested! It actually is very functional and does the job...and its cheap!

I finally also got a little range time with it after the show. I was pleased as punch to put my first 5 shots in a row all in the center of the target from 7 yards. I didn't run any 357 Mag through it, but with the 38 special it was a treat to shoot. Not that much kick, well balanced, dead on aiming with the sights from that range. I'm happy with my purchase and I just need to find a convenient way to carry a speed loader with some extra rounds. This is intended for deep concealment so I want to find something that works for those times.
