New Addition

A new addition to my toybox that I just picked up today. This is a limited edition Sig P226 in .357 Sig, Single Action Only; produced to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the creation of the Texas DPS in 1935. At this time only 330 have been produced. However, its available for purchase only by DPS personnel and retirees.

Thanks for all the kind remarks.....I placed my order for this pistol back in August and was supposed to have received it in 10 weeks....Sig had numerous delays in their production and finally began shipping pistols last week. It's been a long wait, but after getting it, the wait was worth it.

Troopers have been using the 226 for several years now. I was a civilian employee so I don't have a good date on when they changed. What is unusual is that this gun is SAO, while Troopers carry DAO.
