Holster, mag carrier and belt suggestions.

Holster, mag carrier and belt suggestions.
I have a Galco Combat Master OWB that I carry my 5" Springer in. I love the holster but I am looking for a complete set-up. I am looking for an all leather holster, spare mag carrier (2 x mags) and belt. I understand that quality set-ups are not cheap but I do not want to spend a whole lot of money on one either.
I look forward to your suggestions.

The Crossbreed brand has great holsters and belts. Not sure about mag pouches though.

Thanks but not exactly what I am in the market for.

Galco
Hofner
Tucker
These should all be more than enough for a holster. 5.11 is an ok value for leather belts. The Beltman is usually recommended too. The above makers are all good for belts and mag pouches. If you hunt around you can find a good deal on a handmade rig

Thanks gig. However, I am looking for a complete set. I have a great holster (Galco), great belt (5.11 Operator) and a good mag holder (Springfield, came with the 1911) but I am wanting one set all of the same style and maker.

You know your right. I have no idea what I was thinking when I read your post. I love Tucker's HF1 but for the whole load its a little more than what I was hoping to spend. I know you need to pay for quality but I was hoping to keep the cost down a bit.gigag04 wrote:Afaik all of those companies can make you a full matching set.XtremeDuty.45 wrote:Thanks gig. I have an El Paso Saddlery holster & double mag pouch for my 1911's.
They are both of very good quality at a reasonable price. I'm sure their belts are too.

DON HUME Is an excellent value in leather goods. Nothing fancy just well made, proper fitting, long wearing gear. I have several of their holsters/mag carriers and they are top notch and priced right.
edit: I priced a holster (721 OT), belt (1 1/2" double thick), and mag pouch (D421) for an S&W M&P it came to about $150.00 shipped. These are the holsters and mag carrier I use a double thickness belt is much better than a single thickness one. Depending on the particular holster and mag pouch you choose, your price may be more or less.

Hoffners is not longer making leather products (belts or holsters). He may go off hiatus in the future, but no longer doing that business for now. He still has kydex stuff.gigag04 wrote:Galco

Re: Holster, mag carrier and belt suggestions.
Well, I know cost is something we all have to be aware of, however, for quality matched sets it does come with a cost. I see off the shelf units as mentioned here and many are very nice. Custom guys out there like the Tuckers etc. For me, my two cents, I have gone custom with one of our own, RiverRat. I wanted a matched belt, holster and custom mag carriers too but I also through in a tough one for him for my cell phone case as well. Not to mention combination mag and knife carriers too. So you might consider, since you are still looking, check out some of our own members for work too. He has recently moved and I am not sure but his shop may not be ready yet. But depending on your timimg and needs it is a consideration I toss out. I have one of my holsters now and more coming plus for my wife's. Can't say enough about the quality and beauty of it. Happy New Years and good luck.

Not being familiar with Galco's line I looked your holster up. Why not buy a matching Galco Belt and mag Pouch? It would save you a bit of $$$ and retain the holster you like.
