Knowing what you know now..How was your original CHL course?

Aside from carrying in the car, having a CHL seemed pretty useless.

You can save some money there by skipping the license and carrying unconcealed.

Knowing what I know now, the CHL curriculum could probably be written better with more input from instructors and less droning from DPS.

Sgt. McGuire is an excellent teacher. Took my first class there when I moved to Texas and then renewed this part year. When you do your range time he has one LEO instructor for about every 2.5

I also was happy with Sgt McGuire. A big class, but he handled it well and had plenty of help at the range for qualifications. I do still recommend it. He had people helping with new shooters too.
