Mom revealed her interest

Post by Venus Pax »

Mom & I were talking about my CHL and my carry weapon, and she said that step-dad has been encouraging her to get her CHL. She seemed somewhat interested in going through the class, but is hesitant since she hasn't handled a gun in awhile.
I was very happy to hear that she is at least willing. I offered to go to the range with her and shoot different guns (hers and mine). It looks like she'll be taking the class in the Spring. I'll probably send her to my instructor in Nederland, since she lives near there.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

That's great. Keep it up.

That's nice to hear. Keep up the gentle urges ;)

I've got a few around me that are starting to think about it as well.

Keep us up to date!

Thats good she is at least willing to try. My wife won't consider it as long as I
am carring. My wife is a fair shot with my 45, but she said she could never
shoot anyone. so there I am. For now

I used to say that too. Then I became a mother. Funny how that changes everything.

I was glad to hear that my step-dad had been urging her too.
She runs the roads a lot by herself. I would feel better if she were armed with both a gun and the knowledge of its use.

I'm glad she's willing. We'll be hitting the range soon. She has a Taurus, I think in a 9mm, so I'll be showing her how to use it.
(Her main complaint is that she hasn't shot a gun in so long & doesn't feel comfortable using one. That was my complaint for the longest time.)
