Adams Leather Works in Texas--Pics

Post by NEB »

I wanted to show this holster from Adams Leather Works here in Texas. My EDC is a Springfield EMP 9mm, and I normally carry in a Crossbreed supertuck. However, I also wanted an OWB option, and Eric's work looks to be the ticket.

With a good gun belt, it snugs up nicely. I'm 6'2" and 240lb's, and it conceals easily under a heavier shirt, jacket, or pullover. I haven't tried it with a tee shirt as of yet. As you can see from the pictures below, this holster is exceedingly well made. Great fit and finish. Great stitching. Wonderful attention to detail. Fit was very snug brand new as you'd want from a new holster. I've loosened it up a bit by holstering the firearm while inside a heavy duty zip lock bag, and that along with repeated presentations has made the fit just about right.

Overall, I'd put this holster up against any of the big boys as to quality. It's a very nice piece of work. Thanks, Eric!

BTW, the belt in the pictures is an A&G Gunleather belt. I have a brown A&G to go with the holster, but was too lazy to change it out before I threw the holster on to run errands. :)

I really like the one Eric made me for my CZ 40-B.
I'll post pics when I get it back from my buddy who is making grips for it.

Ordered my Adams a bit over a month ago for my FNX 9, since this was my 1st order from him, I ordered a no frills Texas and based on how that comes out and works out for me, I will then upgrade my next order(s).

Like a fool I didn't realize that there were 2 different "Adams" holster makers. I ordered from Adams Holster not Adams Leather works.

Rebel, I think you'll like it. He's a busy man as he does the holster work on the side, and his business has taken off. I ordered mine in October and waited just about 10 weeks. Of course, that was with Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years. He'll probably contact you to verify your order and give you payment info when he starts it.

I was using this holster yesterday, and I love it. It's settled into a perfect fit, and it's a comfy holster to use. GREAT quality.

I went to his site and watched the video of him making one. I'm impressed, those are good looking rigs.

Really Nice Holster! I'm a little confused by the pictures, though. Is this a left or right carry holster. The photos show left side on your belt but the photo of the holster laying on top of the pistol and with the pistlo holstered appear to be right side.

I use a IWB Hoffner on a 1 3/4" Galco belt, but I've lost about 40 pounds and am considering switching to OWB. The position I like to carry has created a pressure point on the point of my hip since I don't have that padding any more.

NEC - Thanks for the post. The pictures look like they are beautifully made hand-crafted holsters. :thumbs2:
I hope that, in the future, he offers them for more guns, like the Colt Detective Special. I would definately buy one!

It looks to me like he took the pics of him wearing it in a mirror, which would explain the reversed view.

Very nice looking gear!
