I'm thinking about popping down to Bossier Civic Center for the Great Southern show this weekend. Any of you other E.Tex folks going?
There's another show there the next weekend, Dec. 8-10, but it's "M&M Enterprises", and I'm not familiar with them.
There's also a Texarkana show Dec. 9-10, but it's at the fairgrounds on the Arkansas side, so no pistols for Texas residents (Texas-side dealers provide transfers for $10, but you'd have to wait until Monday to take delivery). Plus, it tends to be small, overpriced, and overrun with t-shirts, knives, and junk.
There's a show in Tyler Dec. 9-10; anyone know if it's worth attending?
There are occasional shows in Atlanta at the armory, but I think it's a small local thing. I've never been to one.

There's also a show at Big Town in Mesquite this coming weekend - but of the folks I've talked to, the last one there was pretty poor ... So, yea, y'all "East Texans" might want to "head east" and see what it's like.
Next "big" show at Dallas Market Hall is Jan. 6/7 ...

I started the thread, but now I might or not make it. Depends on whether I feel like getting up in the morning.
I would head down around mid day, but I've been informed that I've been elected to be designated driver for the teenwomanchild and her girlfriend, so that they can go to the mall and a concert.
I could, conceivably, drop the teenwomanchild off at the mall, drive to S'port with mini-me, stroll for an hour without buying anything, and then drive home in time to pick up the teenwomanchild and her girlfriend(s)...
Well. It was already iffy when I thought it would be just me myself driving down. The odds are going down the longer I think about it.
