Too bad you're not closer to me. I'd give you one of the metal locker kind.

I don't know how many weapons you have but I know from our home study to be foster parents, all I did was buy a lock box to put my ammo in and a fire box that locks to put my pistol in with a trigger lock on it so it was deemed "double locked" and they were completely fin with that. Since then though I managed to get a pretty nice little pistol safe at Academy when it was on sale. The first option I mentioned should do to get you through until you get a better safe. I understand how it is to be on a budget.

Well thanks everyone for the imput. I just purchased the double door stack on. It seems to work good. I was able to fit all my Long guns and almost all my ammo in the two independent cabinets. I was surprised the ammo side fit as much as it did since I have quite a bit of bulk 7.62. Hopefully it will satisfy the social worker. One good thing is now all my gun stuff is really orginized.
