ShotLock Shotgun Vault

Has anyone here seen or used one of these before? I've got a shotgun that I want to keep loaded and ready for home defense, but I don't want to leave it just laying around. I need a good way to secure it while also having quick access to it, and the ShotLock seems like a good solution. Still, no one in the Dallas area seems to carry these, and I'm hesitant to spend $170 on it sight-unseen.

I wonder if that would work mounted in a vehicle? Cool idea - similar in concept, though likely not design/durability, to the locks used in police vehicles to secure shotguns and ARs etc.

Costco has been known to post some locations off limits. Its really hit or miss, though, not consistent company policy.

Made MY day...been looking to put a locking rack in the truck for the shotgun...quick access and still slow 'em down if they break in...this is it!!! don't like the upright ones we used in the squads...too many wise comments from longbeaks...this'll mount low and lying down and do the trick nicely!!! Didn't know anything about it...and I gotta go a whole 2 blocks to get one...note that the site warns us off a few that won't fit it...

As the owner of two new shotguns, and having to secure one in the house I have been wondering of getting a vehicle mount and putting it in the closet but the thought of running 12v power seemed like a pain in the rear. This will be quicker if it's a quality piece of gear.

I saw it on costco.com today $129.99 delivered ShotLock at Costco

I would like to know if it is functional for mounting on a wall or behind a door for quick access, but have it secure.
