Washing my ammo?

Post by handog »

I like to carry my extra P380 mag in the upper small pocket of my jeans. It fits nicely next to my pocket knife. The problem is a round or two will occasionally fall out and go through the wash. I assume they are water tight and simply put my shiny clean bullet back in the clip. Are they still good or am I going to hear a fizzle instead of a bang?
Any suggestions on a better was to carry the little mag? I use an ripoffs pouch for the .45 Thanks for the tip austonrealtor :thumbs2:

They are "probably okay", but I wouldn't use them. For me, it's not worth the risk to save a buck. Throw it away and load a new "un-washed" round.

I'd put them in the range ammo pile... There is probably a 99% chance they are fine but why risk your life on a $0.30 cartridge?

:iagree: And when you shoot it, they should give your gun that springtime fresh smell of your laundry detergent.

And if you dry it properly with "Bounce" you won't have any worry about static cling. :smilelol5:

I once left 6 .38 special cartridges is a cup of water for a couple days, can't remember, may have been close to a week, anyhow, they all fired fine when I tried them.
