What code do you call in?

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

What code do you call in?

Post by The Marshal »

On the way to the Deer Lease in Kerrville last Thursday, we got to pass a DPS officer that decided to go from the highway to the access road, thru the grassy median.

Nice attack angle, Mr. DPS Officer hit it at 90 angle.
Sooooo, as we passed by, he had 2 bumpers wedged and wheels dangling...

Question: What is the "Radio Code" for this Oopsie, Carl?

I would have called a 10-80 (pursuit) then told them I was stuck during the pursuit so I would not have looked so bad. I took across a median one time and took the muffler off.

Man, Marshal... where's the digital camera when you need one?

I-30 how has restraint cables down the median, most of the way from Texarkana to Dallas. There won't be any more crossovers except at the official points.

Thankfully, my buddy was not speeding down I35.

We passed StrandedBoy heading into Austin.

Entering Austin, one of APD had done the same thing, and was way off the pavement and stuck to the axles. Guess they were chasing a deer, or Bubba in his 4X4. Heehee.

South of Austin, the DPS was working it hard, 4 different Troopers stopping people in a 1/4 stretch!

Busy night for tickets around the Capitol.

That's when they call in a request for a wrecker for "a motorist assist" and say nothing about it being for themselves....gotta save face you know....

I'm friends with the shop that handles all the Grimes county DPS cars. He is constantly having to crawl underneat and remove damaged panels and parts from cowboy median manuevers.

THe guys down there are starting to figure out the trucks thing, and it is working better for such attempts.
