Advantage to a stainless barrel?

Advantage to a stainless barrel?
I have been looking for an AR and came across one that had a stainless barrel. Any advantage to this over the chromoly?

I read that they don't last quite as long. Is it a noticeable difference?

Advantage:
As stated, slight corrosion resistance.
Disadvantages:
Softer metal, bore will wear faster.
If not refinished, higher field signature.
