A coworker's daughter was accepted and decided to attend a British school. The coworker went with her as they had an orientation program that involved parents (and was geared to Americans going to the school). Those giving the presentation warned the parents and students that just because the British students shied away from them didn't mean they were unfriendly.

It's just that they were afraid of Americans.

You see, Americans aren't aware that those from other countries are under the impression that EVERY American carries a gun and WILL use with little provocation. After seeing this story, it's not hard to imagine why they think that of us.
This is just someone's second-hand account of nonsense.

I've made about 30 trips to Europe and hosted Europeans who were visiting here. Europeans are not afraid of Americans. If anything, they're not sufficiently cautious when visiting the U.S.

Well, it works for the Swiss. They don't have a standing army because all of the people are allowed to own fully automatic firearms to use in defense of their country.

Hey, would this fulfill the "well regulated milita" portion of the 2nd amendment? Then those gungrabbers could no longer say that 2A wasn't applicable to the world of today. ;-)
