Rock Island Armory 1911 Magazines?

I just got a Rock Island 1911 A1 and I need to get additional magazines. Any owners out there have something they like in their RIA's?

I've never had any trouble with the mags that came with my RIAs.

With that in mind, they are available from http://www.advancedtactical.com/ who just happens to be the importer for Armscor (RIA).

I've also used Kimber & Wilson mags without problems, but they're a lot more expensive.

Mine (a Compact model) came with one ACT-MAG (a.k.a. Novak) magazine and I have been happy enough with it that I bought two more (as yet unused) at the last Pasadena gun show. But I haven't seen ACT-MAGs for sale at any of the local retail shops.

Chip McCormick mags...never had a problem.

Wilson and Chip McCormick. The one that came with mine has problems with the last round.

Seems like the Chip McCormack magazines are very popular...leaning towards those right now.

I ejected mine over the trashcan in the store when i bought my RIA and bought 2 wilson combats, have 0 problems

Should have sent them to me for "disposal". I have 2 Rocks and while I have wilson mags for both, both still have their novak mags and they work for me just as well as the wilsons do.

I use mec-gar in my iver Johnson I love them never had a problem I have about 5 of them.

Chip McCormicks in my everyday carry 3.5" Rock Island. Love 'em.
