San Antonio - Zoo and Sea World
We just spent a nice (and chilly) weekend in San Antonio. I am happy to confirm what members here had already told me...neither the zoo nor Sea World are posted (Sea World did have a "no weapons" sign but not the 30.06 sign).

They do check bags for prohibited items (weapons, food, drinks, glass bottles, etc.), but they do not have metal detectors and they do not do pat downs or anything like that. If you're carrying on your person you won't have a problem.maximus2161 wrote:Someone told me they check bags at Sea World? This true? No Metal detectors or anything?

New member chiming in here. Great site by the way.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am under the impression Sea World is considered an amusement park, and as such no carry is allowed.
*Amusement parks. Amusement Parks means a permanent indoor or outdoor facility or park where amusement rides are available for use by the public that is located in a county with a population of more than one million, encompasses at least 75 acres in surface area, is enclosed with access only through controlled entries, is open for operation more than 120 days in each calendar year, and has security guards on the premises at all times. The term does not include any public or private driveway, street, sidewalk or walkway, parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area.
