One step closer

Post by Jasonw560 »

well, due to some paperwork not being ready for us, we got our taxes filed late. So, by the end of this month, I will have enough to cover the CHL class.

Making payments to my friend who is selling me his Bersa .380. Should be finished in a couple of months. He will let me use it to get the CHL. Once my dad gets done planting around the HQ, I'll go out to the farm and familiarize myself with it before I take the class. Would hate to go in there with a pistol I have never fired.

Just need to find a weekend to go.

Your instructor and classmates will appreciate that you know your handgun before the class.

In my class there was a gentleman that had never held/shot a handgun before in his life. Another hadn't picked one up in 20 years. Both rented guns for the shoot at the range. I kept my head on a swivel.......

If I have someone in my class that I am unsure of, I put him in a later relay and get one of the guys in the shop to spend a little time with him to make sure he can shoot safely.

Have to +1 on this one. My class the guy next to me was shooting in the 3 point ring at 3 yards. It is hard to shoot when you have to keep one eye on the front sight and one eye on the guy next to you...

A little setback...

The Infernal Revenuer Servants suggested we pay back a $500 house credit we had, so we had them keep that from our return. Then, they took another $250 out. So, my wife's Master's class gets paid, but I have to wait. :banghead:

We'll see if they correct the problem.
