It's run by the same people that put on the Bigtown gunshow which I've always found to be worth my time. That said, I'll be going this Sunday with the wife.

I am going to try to make it on Saturday. I drive past the new Convention Center everyday and want to go just to see the new Center. To be honest, it looks like they are still working on it so it will be interesting to see if it is really done or not.

Hopefully it's bigger than the Frisco or Allen shows. Those were really small. I'm tempted to go check out the Irving show to see how big it is but not sure if I can get there Saturday. Sunday is out because I have to go to my niece's BDay party.

If someone does go, please post your opinion of the show. Thanks

I'll be heading out there this weekend, probably Sunday. I'm just curious mostly, to see the place and to judge the size of the event. And you just never know what little treasure may be waiting.....

That's what I'm worried about, the "little treasures". I have NO control what-so-ever

just went to the Big Town show and saw all my friends so I'm still undecided about going to the Irving show. But I do have some holsters and mags that I could try to trade or sell so maybe I'll go ahead and check it out Saturday morning.

Think I'm going Saturday morning. Will have the boys with me and plan on checking out the gun safety classes. Don't know how many of you check the forum on the fly but I'll post to this thread when I get there. Would be neat to shake hands with a few of you guys.

I'm hoping to make it on Sunday, but my son-in-law has been in the hospital with appendix problems. Saturday is grandson's birthday party.
I make it past the new Irving Convention Center a couple times a week and want to see the inside. To me, the building they put up looks like someone spilled coffee on the plans and they built like that.

I went to the show. It was, in my opinion, much better than the Frisco or Allen shows because at least there were 4-5 firearms dealers there (SAWS, Bachman, AJ Sports (I think that's their name, can't quite remember), Loves (out of Temple), and others). Big State was there and a few others I buy accessories from.

I purchased a couple of guns and chatted with some of the vendors. I purchased one gun from Bachmans, they had the best price I found locally or on the internet. It didn't appear that they had jacked up their prices due to the show being in Irving/Las Colinas area like another un-named vendor had done. So of course I gave my business to the vendors who had reasonable prices.

Had a good time overall and it's very fast to get there from my house which was nice. The parking garage was convenient also, especially if it had been raining.

Also thought it was a good show. Got the glock doctor to install a set of truglow night sights on my G23 and picked up a couple of break barrel air rifles (whatever they're called) for $20 each.
