STI Ranger II. .40 or .45

Post by JDRFL1 »

Need some input rather quickly if possible. My local gun dealer has the STI Ranger on SALE for $990.00. That is a couple of dollars cheaper than brazos custom. I just cant decide between .40 and .45. I love both calibers and .40 is slightly cheaper to shoot, however, I am a little concerned with resale if I ever decide to part ways with it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'd go with the 45 version, personally. Not a big 40 fan, myself (just 9mm and 45). I think you will enjoy the 45. And, I personally find the recoil of a 45 preferential to a 40...

Post pics when ya get 1!!

A 1911 chambered in anything other than .45 ACP is a an affront to the legacy of JMB and a sin.

Well........... Please forgive me, I have commited a sin. Went to the gun shop and the .45 had been put on layaway and it was the only Ranger II in .45 that they had and myself being the "I can't wait type" took the .40 while they had it on sell. I was there yesterday and they had three in each caliber and as soon as they went on sell this morning they were gone. Guess I should have been quicker to the draw.
