My new go everywhere pistol.

Post by atxtj »

The first handgun I ever shot was my old mans Seecamp .25 back when I was 8. He carries it everyday, so I thought I'd carry on the family tradition with a Seecamp of my own. I found a NIB 380 for the very agreeable price of 725.00 and just had to have it. The thing is a work of art in stainless. I'll report on first range impressions tomorrow (if my trigger finger survives the day :lol: ). Here's a couple quick and dirty pics.

That's a beautiful looking handgun. I am looking forward to your range report.

Congratulations on the acquisition of the LWS. I've been wanting a Seecamp for years...for some odd reason the diminuitive .32 acp is tops on my list. The Seecamp pistols are truly works of art. The only problem I have ever heard expressed is the ammo sensitiviety issue, but I think Mr Seecamp has "opened" them up a bit over the last few years to make them reliable with a few more options on ammunition.

I'm looking forward to the range report(s).

725.00 ? Do they have more at that price?
I know the .380 punishes the hand more than my .32 Seecamp, but I might like one.

I snagged the last one. It will be six months or longer before they get anymore in stock. I found this one as a fluke.

Yes, a lovely handgun indeed. This makes my KelTec P3AT look like an uglier duck than it already is

Well I finally took the noisy cricket to the range today! Overall I'm very impressed with it. I ran about fifty round through (all my hand could take) and did not have any failures. As far as recoil goes I would say it is not a pleasant weapon to fire, but was by no means uncontrolable. I'd compare it to a snubbie .357 with 125gr., but less gun to hold on to, and the trigger guard definitely gives your finger a nice thwack. :mrgreen: I had two instances where the trigger did not reset all the way, but did not have anymore after the first few rounds. I think it may have just needed a bit of smoothing out. Here's a quick vid of the first round. The brass hit Mrs. atxtj in the face! :leaving Hence the quick ending.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIfL6qclgjQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Overall, I'd say it's a keeper for sure.

That looks like a real purdy gun. May you enjoy it and never have to use it against a bad person. But, if you do have to, may you shoot accurately and hit exactly where you are aiming. Good luck!!

I think I read that in a fortune cookie once. :mrgreen:

atxtj, Very nice gun. I've always wanted a Seecamp.
