1-on-1 Training vs Group Classes...

I'm looking to get some more training, and I've been looking around for a place that does 1-on-1 training. That's simply my preference. I've been in good group classes before, and I've had 1-on-1 before. My preference is the 1-on-1.

What I'm finding is that even places which advertise individual training try to funnel you into a group class, even a group class they're not teaching! That's the part I just don't understand. Why would you rather somebody put $100 in somebody else's pocket for a group class than take the $100 or $75 (if the 1-on-1 is shorter) and put it in your own pocket for a 1-on-1?

What am I missing? Do I have B.O. and nobody told me that it registers over the phone/email, or is there something else?

Typically instructors get more money for their time with group classes. I am currently communicating with someone via email that has an excellent instructor who does work 1 on 1 with them and is more interested in furthering gun rights and peoples training. This individual is retired and doesn't need the extra money. Unfortunately they are located in Nebraska. To get good 1 on 1 training I suspect that your gonna be looking at more than $100 per session.

I agree with G.A. Heath. For example, I know a company (unrelated to guns) where $50 will buy you 8 hours of group instruction (four 2-hour classes) or one hour of private lessons. There are advantages to each, and depending on the student (and instructor) the significantly higher cost of private lessons may (or may not) be a better value.

Where are you at I had my 1 on 1 for $100. That was in Mckinney, just north of dallas.
