Do you name your guns?

Even though I can be quite sentimental, I have never given a name to a gun, car or any other inanimate object. I will only give a name to something if it will come to me after I call them. If I ever own I boat, I will probably make an exception to that rule.

I call my EDC pistols, Arabic Thugs

street names, each that does fit with its size and mission.

A lot easier than saying "yes honey, I have my gun with me."

Not sure I ever understood the concept of announcing to ones companions that they are armed.

She doesnt really like that I carry and our rule is that I dont tell her when I am.
However, on rare occasion, when we are in certain circumstances, she does want to know.
That is when the names come into play.

I get it now. You have to admit that it is funny she doesn't mind it so much when she feels ya'll are in a threatened situation.

I'm in Birmingham at the moment but when we get back, we need another 50' of garden hose and some more Wal-Mart sacks and we are there!
