Forum member S&W6946 had some business in Texarkana, so we met this morning at Starbucks for a drink and some conversation. My wife happens to work right across the parking lot, so she joined us too.
Given the venue and his work schedule, we didn't get to compare guns or go shooting, but it was nice to meet a forum member face to face and talk about guns, shooting, and just general conversation.
It was a pleasure to meet you, S&W6946!
If anyone else finds themselves in this corner of the state and wants to meet up, just give me a shout here on the forum.

Me too. The visits are great. Next time I go see tote 9 we will have to get together in the North Country.

Kevin, ditto. I'm glad to have a face to go with the name. I'll see if I can work in an overnight trip sometime in the spring. That'd give enough time to get by that gun store you were telling me about.....and maybe hit a range somewhere.
I've been back from Texarkana about an hour....man, what a day!

If the gun shop is the one he sent us too, it is one fine place.

Yep, Paul's Pawn & Gun (emphasis on the gun, not the pawn). It's just west of New Boston at Exit 198 from I-30. It's not a big store, but it has more guns per square foot than any place I've ever seen. Handguns and long guns, new and used, cowboy guns and eeevil black guns.longtooth wrote:If the gun shop is the one he sent us too, it is one fine place.
They'll also cut a good deal.
Shame they're not open on Saturdays, but the owners also own a Cowboy Action range, and spend every weekend playing cowboy.
