It's my understanding you can carry around the live stock show, fair grounds, and BBQ cookoff area. I figured the rodeo was a pro sport deal so on nights we went in the center, I never carried. Just doesn't seem right at a Texas rodeo

i went to a concert yesterday at house of blues (51% posted) and it was really crowded there. someone bumped into my girlfriend and she said she felt the butt of someones firearm. so that got me wondering, do a lot of people carry even when they are not allowed to?
It's not smart to admit to something that can get your CHL revoked and you locked up.
sent to you from my safe space in the hill country

I'm glad to see that we all obey the law. It would seriously undermine the entire "the average CHLer is a law abiding citizen" argument I've seen a lot of lately if we disregarded this law just because we dislike it.
When you're making your decision next time, just think about how often you've heard someone say, "criminals disregard the laws that say they cannot have a gun on them," and how it would apply to you if you carry past the doorway intentionally.

And we average citizens are VERY GLAD YOU DO Sir!

Establishments that do not support my rights as an armed citizen do not receive my business, and I have no reason to frequent 51% establishments.
Absolutely, sad thing is Saxet and High Calibre Gun shows also post 30.06 so that put's them on my off limits list too.

I carried for years illegally in the State of California where the peasants can't get CHL's, and never was even close to being caught that I know of. Now that i live in Texas, and have a CHL I do not violate the law intentionally. I do kinda push the limits sometimes when I am possibly in ACOE controlled waters, but if I know for sure I will be in ACOE water I don't carry.
IIRC House of Blues is not actually a 51% establishment. You can check the TABC site to make sure. Just because you see a 51% sign doesn't make it so. They are often improperly posted.
