Bass Pro, 3/14 - 4/3/2011. S&W 1911,Satin Stainless, $749.99

Post by surprise_i'm_armed »

The Bass Pro sales circular arrived today. The sale goes from
March 14, 2011 through April 3, 2011.

IIRC, Bass Pro's website doesn't post the circulars online like Academy does,
otherwise I would have provided the link so y'all could see the photos.

Here's the firearms on sale:

Beretta Blackwing shotgun, 12 ga or 20 ga, 28" barrel, made in Italy,
walnut stock with classic black receiver. $1,599.97.

Browning Maxus Sporting Carbon Fiber Shotgun, 12 ga, 28" barrel, matte carbon
fiber finish, vent ribs, 5 chokes (F, IM, M, IC, SK), Inflex technology recoil pad,
Dura-Touch armor coating. $1,149.99.

Browning Buckmark pistol, .22 LR, 10 round, ajdustable sights, pistol case. $299.97.

Here's the pistol in which I think the most forum members would find of interest:

Smith and Wesson SW1911, .45, 8 rounds, Satin Stainless, appears to be a 5" barrel.
This sale $749.99 (compare to $899.99).

The photo shows a Satin Stainless 1911 with solid black grips, but not the "tabbed" black
grips. The ad gives some kind of ID number of 1194266, but the SW website did not have
that number.

The above link seems to be the same pistol that Bass Pro has on sale. SW's MSRP = $1,019.00.

Happy shopping. Please provide corrections to the above 1911 information if you feel I was
off on the data.

I went to the Katy location and it looks like you got the only one! :)

I held the blued version and it was very nice. The stainless ought to look MUCH better. They have two at the Pearland location and are willing to transfer one or both to Katy if anyone else is interested.

If I wasn't such a 4473 rebel, I would of asked them to order it...

Yep, it was at the Katy location -- I got the one on display. The fellow there said they had moved them out very quickly once the ad came out.

Glad to hear it. The extra drive may be enough to save me from myself on this one.
