same here, i couldn't decide which of the 3 i wanted but i ended up finding someone with an M&P 40c that wanted to trade for my full size XDm 40 and i have to say i love the M&P. my brother-in-law just bought a G27 this weekend, so next time we're out target shooting i'll get to do a side-by-side comparison of the two.

Same size as the XD... Just a bit better in my hand... YMMV
The XD would likely be my 2nd choice for a compact .40..

i'm not too familiar with HK handguns, but i absolutely fell in love with the P30 when i was gun shopping a few months back. it was a bit out of my price range at the time so i didn't get it, but i do plan on buying one... some day. i was told that the P30 "replaced" the P2000SK, is that true?
The P30 is similar to the P2000 full size... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heckler_%26_Koch_P30" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I didn't like the molded grip on the P30 at all... YMMV.. If I wanted that feature, I'd prefer a rubber add-on for comfort.
The P30 is about a half inch longer and about an inch taller (harder to conceal the extra height for me) and about 50 grams (1.8 ounces) heavier vs the SK

Anything HK that fits your requirements is OK by me :thumbs2:
yeah the molded grip on the P30 actually fit my hand a bit better than the P2000, and at the time i wasn't looking at it for concealed carry so the size wasn't really a factor. i'm in the process of [slowly] saving up for an HK, i'll probably go with a USP.
Cheaper than dirt has USP compact stainless in .40 for 749.99. Its not listed on their website, but I walked into the McKinney store and I saw them up on the wall this past weekend. Not sure if the full size or non SS are on sale.

I sometimes carry a USP Compact in 45 in a Minotaur, and it's not what I would call a small, unobtrusive package... (Not much of a size difference between the 40 and 45.) However, it is a full power option with all the wonderful goodness of a HK.

(BTW, It's a shame they screwed up the ergonomics of the P7 when they brought out the .40 cal version years ago - that would have been a sweeet rig. Surely there were better options to slow down the slide velocity than by adding a pound of metal to the top of the slide...we all used to refer to it as 'the beached whale.' They didn'y make too many, and now the go for a gazillion $ as a curiosity.)
Professional Training, Competition, Risk Avoidance, Situational Awareness, Tactical Mindset, 100,000+ rounds down range - the hardware is the least important part of the equation...

Ran out at lunch today and put a box of shells through it. :fire

It had a good feel to it but took a few round before I started to get a handle on it. Still need to run another 100 or so through. Tried shoot with the short mag but my finger hung off of it and I didn't feel like I had good control.

Glock 27 is may daily carry. Accurate, easy to maintain. I use Crossbreed Supertuck IWB holster and I hardly know its there. :txflag: :patriot:

I had the same problem. My fix:

Though, I paid considerably more at The Arms Room (because I was already there, and they had it on the shelf).
