New .22 pistol

Well done! I have the 5.5" stainless hunter model. I love shooting that thing.

Two things to keep under consideration:

1. Easy to take down. An absolute woolly booger to put back together. Even following the directions in the owners manual to the letter won't work every time. Be patient.
2. When cleaning it, be very very careful. The machined edges around and inside the receiver are razor sharp, and they will cut you if you slip.

Other than that, enjoy the heck outta that little tiger.

Mine (only mine came with black grips just like yours):

I have the 4-1/2" barrel version of the SS Hunter. it is everything that TAM says it is.

Mrs. Oldgringo and I ran a few rounds through both my MK III Hunter and my Single-Six yesterday afternoon. A hoot was had by all.

Actually, I'm embarrassed... I have the 4.5" one too. I just checked. But I got the picture from the Ruger website, and they no longer showed a 4.5" version, so I assumed mine must be a 5.5" gun.

so i picked up a P22 last week, give it a run yesterday.

it's so much more practical then my Browning buck mark, meaning, i bet this things rides in my truck when on property.

Just as fun, Just as accurate, smaller package.

one nice thing about the mark 3 is that they make different barrels and you can get a integrated suppressor if you wish.
