The only thing about having a 45 is the cost of ammo! That 45 ACP price in the ad kinda high IMHO. Got a couple of boxes of Winchester 100 round boxes at Wally World not that long ago, for $37.00.

Thought Win did away with the "Western" branded ammo. I have a bunch in 20ga but just noticed some .22 on that add. At Helidoug, you're right, that better be a 100rd value of HP's at least I hope cause they won't be selling much of it.

Google is your friend. It looks like that they are available for about the same price as the .177cal.

anybody shot that monarch ammo? I usually stick with american eagle or the winchester 100 box, both about $30 for 100 in 9mm, but for the price I might have to give that monarch a try, if it's any good. for target shooting anyways. think i'll definately have to grab a box of the remington 9mm.

Google + Gamo in .22 = Sweet!.... Monarch + any firearm = no go... :nono: IMHO

Buddy tried it in his P89 and had endless FTE's like it didn't have the power to rack the slide.

Any firearm except a Glock, maybe.

I shoot Monarch in My Glocks (19, 21,26) with no issues at all.

I've shot 1000+ rounds of Monarch in both brass and steel case and have never had a single FTF or FTE with it.

To each thier own. I can only say what I have seen happen when it was used in my presence. He switched to WWB and had no problems. That is all I know. If your gun likes it...buy it. :thumbs2: I just choose not to.

If the gun has a history of feeding problems, or is antique, I would stay away from Monarch. But it seems to work fine in modern, reliable pistols.
When in doubt
