I'm looking for a fun shop that has some inventory of S&W performance center revolvers. I am specifically looking for a S&W 627PC with the shorter barrel or the S&W 327PC model. I have a need/want for a concealable 8-shot .357mag power house. Both of those guns fit what I am looking for and they both use moon clips which I think is a huge plus and almost a must if I am forking over that kind of money for a wheel gun.
There is one other model I am looking at, but it does not use moon clips and therefor down on my list just a little. Its a S&W 386 Night Guard model. Unless it takes moon clips and I am mistaken if someone here on our fine board has one. If it does take moon clips than it IS the gun for me! Any help putting my paws on one of these in a store would be much appreciated. I am in SW Houston are but can travel to hold, see, negotiate.

You might want to try Collector's Firearms up in the city. I don't know what they have for those specific models, but I can't think of a shop that has a larger inventory.
Why is use of moon clips an advantage? I would think of it as the opposite, more of a pain then benefit. If it's just BECAUSE I totally get that. Just curious

Full moons are faster than Speed Loaders. Plus they're just cool.
Carry safe and carry when and where you can. I'm just sayin'.

I think full moon clips are quite a bit faster than speed loaders and a lot faster than a speed strip. They are cool and it adds a certain custom feel to the pistol.
I have checked with Collector's and they have the 627 and a used 386 Night Guard. Of course they want an arm and a leg for each. I was looking for a shop that actually will deal a little bit and not have a set in stone price.

good luck on any houston area gun shop having performace center stuff in stock. you can ask the person helping you collectors firearms if they can do any better on the price; they will either say no or come back with a price.
I already asked and they said they were firm on both. No harm in asking...

They might be faster, but I don't think they're cool.
An eight shot .357 Magnum revolver - that is way cool.

yea i think it just depends.the 2 guns i bought from them were used.collectors firearms has more used performance center stuff then new.being a big fan of smith and wesson i think they are very underrepresented in the area. even at gun shows its mainly glock, kimbre, glock,h&k,glock.lol
if you know what you want ajcsportshop down past angelton has very good prices for them.
Thanks for the tip I'll call them and see what they have in stock.
