Outstanding experience at Khaki Jack's in Plano

Post by age_ranger »

Well, I was looking for the holster to add to my 5.11 vest and found a shop here in Plano that carries 5.11 gear. It's called Khaki Jack's and is in the SE corner of Alma and Parker. I had asked the salesperson (Liz) if they carried the holsters for the vests. She indicated they had one set of accessories that they would break up (nice of them also) and asked if I had the pistol with me. I told her I couldn't really say and she replied with "Oh, you're not an LEO......it's ok if you uncover..." and moved to the geear to hand me the holster. "go ahead and make sure it fits..." she said. Well, regardless if it fit or not, with interaction like that, I was buying no matter what!!!

Great to see a shop that is pro-carry and knowledgeable/friendly to boot!!! Just wanted to pass on the experience. It's by far the best one I've had yet as a CHL holder in a store................I highly recommend them.

ranger, you have found a place that opporates a little like Bill's Gun Trader here.
Go in there needing something & you get to try it on. See how it fits & covers. Nothing at all for a new guy to be in there talking about a holster & someone comes in: Hey Joe, this guy is thinking about a ______, what you got on today. Yep. Let him see it.
Long guns are on racks on the floor. Hand guns are on the top of the counter. Regular customers behind the counter when all help is busy.
Table in the back corner for lunch & chairs at the front for visits.
No antis allowed. ;-)

Carry 24-7 or guess right.

It was great. I wish other stores were like that. If onll they'd start selling bread and milk, I'd be there more often!! I'm gonna recommend they set up a sidewalk cafe'. I'd frequent it!!

That is great to hear. I've been intending to go by there and check them and pick up another pair of 5.11 pants. I really love those pants and owning only one pair is just not cutting it.
