Carry Question

Post by stealthfightrf17 »

My wife teaches at a private christian school that is located inside a church. Would I be right in assuming that while school kids are there you could not carry. However if it is a church function then I would be ok

That is one of the $64,000 questions that has never found a definitive answer.

It would be an opportunity to make case law, one way or the other. :tiphat:

My understanding is if it ever used as a school then off limits. Are the school buildings separate? Or do they use the church for school and viceversa (or however you spell that?)

Pawpaw is right it is the $64K question...

The main church building is where the school is at on mondays wensday and fridays, the rest of the times it functions as a church.

I would err on the side of caution.

A school is a school is a school...

Look at it this way in reverse... Schools lease out their facilities on Sunday for churches to meet in all the time. You would be hard pressed to "beat the ride" from an LEO by explaining that the halls of your local elementary school are not really a school on the weekends.
