New to forum!

Post by rubiconjp »

Hello folks,

Discovered this site recently while searching for instructor for my 2nd renewal. Now anxiously waiting for my new license, as the old one will expire by the end of this month. I first carry concealed back in early 90's (90-91) in NH. It was so easy back then, just fill application at the police station, they ran quick check and give you license. No photo, no print.

I then got a CCW license in Utah in the mid 90's, after having moved there for a job. Then moved to the communist state of IL. Then another communist country on the Pacific coast. Then to freedom here in TX. Got my TX CHL back in 2001 (class was with Ross Bransford, which I again took it with him on this last renewal).

I managed to convince 2 of my brothers to get their CHL's also. Hopefully they'll join this forum too.

Welcome. I'm also new and a little lost but I think I'll get the hang of it.

Howdy.

Best advice is the "view new posts" link on the main page makes the forum much easier.

Thank you all for the welcome! Yes Ross teaches in Lockhart now, which is a bit far for me. When I took the first class with him, it was in Austin. Next renewal, I won't have to take class but the following one, I will look for a closer class.

Welcome to the new members! You will get the hang of the place pretty quick. Take your time and read deeply as their is a gold mine of information here, and many users with great insight and knowledge.
