Tyler T-Grip.....6 months and waiting

I ordered a Tyler T-Grip for my S&W M60 in November.......still waiting.....
I've called a couple of times/week for the past few months......no answer. Ever.

I'm aware of the family illness, and the rest of the family pitching in to try and catch up, but it's been a long time and nobody's answering the phone. Has anybody received anything from them lately?

There's a recent thread on this over at the S&W forum that's 25 pages long, and I think the general consensus is that no one has heard much from them, but they do seem to be actively cashing checks. Appeals to the Oklahoma AG haven't gotten anywhere, and that office has recommended pursuing it through the USPS as mail fraud. Good luck.

They don't accept credit cards, only checks, cash , and money orders.

I guess then its time to threaten them to refund the money or at least give you some indications on when a realistic delivery time is, and let you decide to cancel and take the refund, or continue waiting

I think this is the route I'll take. They don't have an email address on their website. Only a phone number that they don't answer and a mailing address for mailing checks. I'll send them a letter asking for a refund check or a date for when I will receive the product. We'll see how it goes. I don't think it would bother me as bad if they hadn't been so quick to cash my check waaaaay back in November.

So I assume that you mailed them payment, with that in mind I would send them a letter as mentioned, but I would also remind them of the seriousness of mail fraud which you can file a complaint against them for.

You might consider sending the letter certified or return receipt or similar, so you have proof/record of the letter being sent, should you have need of that in the future.

Yes, definitely certified or similar. It gives me a record of receipt and also let's them know I'm serious enough to track it.
This was a christmas present from my daughters, so I'd much prefer the T-Grip than the money.

With no intention of "piling on" if they've had illness in the family, I can say straight up: you don't continue cashing checks if you're not delivering product.

No excuse for that.

Unbelievably, my T-grip arrived yesterday.
It was ordered with a check last November. I never heard anything from them. I called many
times. They never answered. Never returned my calls. Then, yesterday without warning, it arrived in the mail. No note or anything. Just the T-grip, 10 months later.
My wife texted me while I was hunting and told me. I got skunked on the dove (I missed a handful because I'm a bad shot), but I got my T-grip.

Tyler Manufacturing has resumed production of the TYLER T-GRIPS and TRIGGER SHOES. After a lengthy family conflict I have been successful in taking over the ownership and management of Tyler Manufacturing. As of July 25, 2011 over 1000 shiny and flat black T-GRIPS have been manufactured and will be received by Tyler's customers within the next 7 to 10 days.

I would like to extend my sincerest sympathies for the practices of the previous owners/managers of Tyler. I have made it my priority as the new owner/operator to fill EVERY back order immediately. I will post weekly, my production list of all completed finishes and sizes of T-GRIPS AND TRIGGER SHOES. These updates will continue until appropriate office help can be hired to answer your questions. Address changes have been logged and applied and your letters have been read. Although I am not able to respond to every request, I hope this update and receipt of your orders will be a satisfactory response for now.

As of this date, I have produced over 200 back ordered TRIGGER SHOES. However, not all back orders of TRIGGER SHOES have been completed, most have been done in flat black. Bronze and Aluminum finish TRIGGER SHOES and T-GRIPS are the next items to be produced and mailed.

My business practices are far different than what many of you have previously experienced in dealings with Tyler Manufacturing this last year. I have taken a leave of absence from my law enforcement career to focus on the day to day operations of Tyler and will continue to do so to ensure the company's success.

My intent is to have inventory and orders shipped out as they are received instead of back orders or custom made items. This means that all trigger shoes will be manufactured in black, back ordered bronze items will be manufactured but production will be limited for both T-GRIPS AND TRIGGER SHOES after that time.

Also, as soon as possible, Tyler will have a new web site.
