Yeah, that's what I want, Venus! What brand of holster is that? Do you find it comfortable?

Good job VP.
She will confirm but I believe it is a Sparks Summer Special Rough side out. Real good holster.

That's a nice looking pistol, VP.

I need to get some better pictures of mine up once I get my holster in....

I think it's a Siamese, and prefers Fancy Feast, particularly the flaked seafood varieties.

Oh. You meant the holster... ;-)

Yep; I'm with LT.: Milt Sparks Summer Special. (Now Venus will enter and tell us we're wrong.)

I have a Kimber CDP and I also have this Kimber Pro Carry HD II. I personally do not like a 1911 less than 4 inch. Both Kimbers are 4 inch and I have not had a reliablity problem of any kind. I use Tucker's The Answer and it very comfortable for me and I am not such a small fellow.

Here's my little baby... Kimber Stainless Ultra Carry II. I put XS Big Dot sights on it, and Pearce finger grooves. I love this thing.

Is the bobtail a factory feature or a custom feature?

Nice guns!
Yes, the holster is a Milt Sparks Summer Special II, and the cat is a Tonkinese mix.
I actually don't let the cat around my guns often, since he's got a mean streak. I suspect that he'd be in prison if he were human.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I carry a Kimber Eclipse Pro II with a 4" barrel. Unlike most, I carry ISW
in front half buried. I use a soft holster (it doesn't move). Yes 1" longer
would make a difference to me. I've tried other holsters (although not all)
and positions of carry. So far, for me carrying all day I am most comfortable
with my present carry. To each his own, after experimenting you'll find
what is best for you.

Brown's Bobtail, Slim aluma grips, Nolan's match trigger job, and Wilson night sights that are yellow and green.

That is one well-planned and executed 1911. If you don't mind my asking, how much smithing did the Nowlin match kit need when you installed it, and which checkering did you spec on the Alumagrip set? Reason I'm asking is that this is the combination I'm considering for my Springer.

I did not do all of the work myself, so I can't answer your questions. There is jewler/gunsmith who did the work. Here is his personal CDP.

Carlson1, thanks for the photos. I think yours wins hands-down on sleek, functional elegance. Quite nice.
