Two Miniature Schnauzers Need Homes

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

Here is an email I received from the Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of Houston. It's about two older dogs (7 and 8 yrs old) that they cannot take into the foster program.

Contact Sherry if you are interested. Sherry@Eitel.com

MSRH had two senior owners contact us about surrendering their 7 and 8 year old Schnauzers. Each owner got the Schnauzers as puppies but now due to illness and financial change they must give them up.

My intent is to make you aware of their plight because as you know MSRH can no longer commit to older boys and girls unless there is an adopter waiting for them. We do not have foster homes available for them and we cannot afford the expense of boarding them.

Harley and Trudi will be up to date on vaccinations, are spayed/neutered and will be micro chipped.

Harley ... S/P ... Male ... Natural Ears ... Docked Tail ... 7 Years ... 15 Pounds

Trudi ... S/P ... Female ... Cropped Ears ... Docked Tail ... 8 Years ... 18 Pounds

If you would like to add to your family or you know a responsible family member or friend who would enjoy the companionship of one of these precious older Schnauzers please let me know. I will send photos and profiles upon request to anyone interested in adopting
Complete an adoption application on line at http://www.msrh.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and mention Harley or Trudi's name.

I hope all of you reading this e-mail, especially if you are eligible for a "senior citizen discount" will take a moment and ask yourselves "if my health, financial, or living arrangements changed, who would take care of my beloved pet?" Please have a contingency plan in place and make provisions for your 4 legged companion, the one who loves you unconditionally and depends solely on you. If you don't plan for their future they may not be so lucky as to have a rescue group save them, but instead may end up in a kill shelter as their last stop on this earth.

Saving one Schnauzer may not change the world but with your help it could change the world for Harley and Trudi.

Schnauzer Hugs To All,
Sherry

Schnauzers are great dogs! We adopted two this spring from an all breed rescue here locally. I wish we were able to take these two. Hang in there Harley and Trudy some kind soul will take y'all.

The photos were evil and underhanded Charles! If we didn't already have 4 dogs in our house hold I would be harrassing my other half. I will put the word out though! They are so cute!

Come on Divided - - - when you have four what's two more? There's a dozen living with Mrs. MoJo and me.

Bump - - - Come on folks, these are little dogs they don't eat much and Schnauzers don't shed.

God , I would love to. But we don't close on the house until the end of the month and the move isn't scheduled until mid July. Schnauzers are our number one choice, found out I was allergic to dogs a few years back- being a dog lover this pains me to no end especially since I had to put our 2 JRTs up for adoption. Wonder if I can talk my Wife into 2 dogs.

But hey. Houston Schnauzer rescue has allot more candidates, right?

Show her the pics! Two dogs to keep each other company when you are gone is great!

emailed the link to my wife. I think she may be interested. The problem is the timeline. Our present rental doesn't allow pets, non-negotiable. Her work connection is heavily filtered, no outside connections intranet only, so she wasn't able to see the pics. I'll fire off an email to the rescue org.
