Drywall Texture anyone???

OK, I'm remodeling a bathroom. Just finished the taping, and now I'm ready for texture. Anyone know a good how to video for skip trowell? Or any tips.
Or any cheap labor?!?!?!?!

(about 1:36) but he doesn't really explain what he's doing. (yes, i realize you can see what he's doing, but an explanation would be good). Also, I'm cheap so i dont want to fork out the $50 for a hopper
