What should it go for?

So I am looking into selling my .40 3.8 XDm. I got it less than a year ago and it's had maybe 1,000 rounds through it and has 3 magazines, what do yall think I should be asking for it? I have never sold one of my guns before so looking for some advice on pricing for resale.

I was kinda bothered by how heavy and long the trigger pull was, and I want to get the M&P compact. Other than the trigger its a pretty good gun.

Don't suppose you're interested in a .40? I have the exact same package you have, but in .40 cal. Bought it about a month ago, then decided I would rather have a 9mm. I've never fired it, trying to find somebody to trade it off for the same thing in 9mm.

I think I'll keep the 9mm mostly because my other guns are 9mm also and it's at the shop getting some Trijicon
sights put on. What you might want to do is ask about a 9mm conversion for the XDM .40 so you can shoot both
calibers.

I think it's higher if the gun is in almost new condition. Maybe 80% of the lowest NIB price, looking at gun shows, online sites, etc. to find the lowest price someone could buy it new. I would offer the extra mags at 1/2 NIB price to someone who buys the gun, or sell them separately if the buyer doesn't want the extras. Used holsters add very little, and you're better off selling them separately too.

Depends on private sale or if you are looking to trade in the gun. Probably you would get a quick $450 to $480 in a private sale. A dealer is going to offer you about $400 (a little more maybe, probably less) - depending on what you are trying to buy and what haggling you have done over the price. Kinda like buying a vehicle, the price and trade will get squeezed somewhere to make up the difference.

I don't believe the XDm is of any better quality than the M&P but, the trigger is certainly no better.

I don't know I love the trigger on the M&P compared to the XDm, in my opinion there is a huge difference.
