I figure cold turkey is the way to go.

It worked for the caffeine kick, so it's gotta work on carbs, right?!
Wish me luck.
Good luck to all you guys and gals and your resolutions!

Might I suggest a book called Enter the Zone by Barry Sears, PhD.MrDrummy wrote:I'm on Atkins for a few weeks. I need to drop 20 lbs, and I'm horribly addicted to carbohydrates.

Yeah, that's my problem. I eat so many carbs that I'm only doing this diet for a few weeks (4 max) to break this cycle that I'm in. The first day was maddening. I couldn't think about anything other than a big, heavy bag of Brach's Jelly Beans!!! I'll be back on a much healthier, whole food diet once I feel I'm in a better spot.txinvestigator wrote:

You will lose weight on Atkins, but it is not healthy weight. Your body needs carbs, just not in the gluttonous amount we Americans consume them.

Does that make sense? I'm new at this whole 'diet' thing, so it may not.
