My response is that it is melodramatic and over the top, and not particularly good reading. And this is coming from someone who is transitioning to a more libertarian (small L) viewpoint. Yeah, by the time I got to the second paragraph, my eyelids were on Snooze Patrol. One of the problems with parables is that they're very hard to write. More importantly, they're supposed to be succinct.
