Me too. Bummer. I'd also like to see an XDm 3.0 in a 9mm like the XDSC....

Funny - I'd rather keep the full-length barrel/slide, and shorten the grip. Then have extended magazines for the reloads.

Can't please everyone! (anyone?) :headscratch

For a competition gun, I wonder if they have done anything to the trigger? No mention of it in the press release or specs that I could see.

For IDPA the XDs are forced into ESP while M&Ps and Glocks can play in SSP and ESP so for IDPA even a competition XD gets a bad deal. Maybe S.A. can "sponsor" IDPA for a few years and get the divisions changed.

I've seen the occasional 1911 with a compact frame/grip and full-length slide, but I dislike the lower capacity of single-stack magazines.

The XDm is now available with the 3.8 slide and a short grip (XDm Compact) If you want to make the short grip a full size, it also comes with a full size magazine with a grip extension making it full size. Carry with the short grip and a full mag with grip extension as a spare. Should not need more ammo than that even for zombies :biggrinjester:
