Texanron: I decided to build a rifle length system because: I already have a carbine (might be HAD soon im considering selling it to fund this.) and I think it would give me a little more accuracy, stability (fixed stock) and muzzle velocity. I'm going to keep iron sights so I can work on my marksmanship with them. EDIT: also I have this crazy Idea for a pig hunting upper, and I want to be able to just mate it to my rifle buffer'd lower. Maybe a 6.8? maybe just a SS bull bbl with a place to mount my flashlight?
Rex: I've been there and done that! When something springs out and it hits the ceiling you know it's going to be a long day! I learned to start using a plastic bag after waiting 3 weeks for a replacement rear sight for a S&W wheelgun. After waiting that long i was real careful
I ordered up a few more parts for this, I got the upper receiver from Palmetto State, as well as the lower (found them for the same price over there). Barrel will be a CMMG gov't profile. I also built myself I nice work table with a vise. Can't wait to get started
