New Gun Question

Post by Blindref757 »

I bought a new XD9SC last week at a gun show. It was nice to show my new plastic card and be paid for in 5 min!

So my question is, "Should I send in the card to SA?" Is this in effect a "registration" of my gun?

it is registering you as the owner with Springfield, but only for instances if they have recalls or if you have issues with it, I think it shows you are the owner and subject to the warranty.

I registered my XD9sc online if I remember right

Technically not 'registration' - it is warranty and the info so they can send you 'offers' - but of course if someone were tracking the serial number back through SA - then they could make a determination that you owned the weapon at some point. Actually, if you have nothing to hide or fear, then send in the card or complete the online form. When i got my new Beretta Perennia, the warranty send in card was for one year, by filling out the online form Beretta made it five years - I like that!!

It's not that I have anything to hide...it's that I don't want the UN to demand SA to hand over all of their records and try to take my guns under the new constitution of the New World Order in a couple of years!

Since there is no "registration" or "proof of sale" required in Texas, just remember this one statement "I sold it"
