Anyone carries CZ P-01? Need a review.
I have a CZ SP-01 for a few years, a great gun. Thinking of getting a smaller version P-01 for carry. Anybody can provide any review how it feels like carrying, how accurate is it..? Seems like CZ is not really popular on this side of the pond, still, any takers?
Etc.
Thanks.

You might want to read through the CZ forum a bit, I think there may be one person here who I remember having one (don't remember who though). From what I have read on the CZ site it is everything we like about the SP-01 just a bit smaller and lighter.

I wonder why the CZ is not as popular here? I shot the CZ P01 and it is a great gun. Very accurate.TexasGuy wrote:I have a CZ SP-01 for a few years, a great gun. I have had a P-01 for about three weeks. I love it, and it's probably one of the most comfortable guns in my hand that I've ever held, including Hi Powers. I haven't carried it, yet, but I probably will once I shoot it some more and get a holster made. I'm sure it's (like most guns) considerably more accurate than I am.

A CZ 75 D Compact is one of my best shooters.

I've owned a CZ P01 for several years. It is a great shooter. Accurate and reliable Eats everything I put into it and has never had a hiccup. Great ergonomics in the design. Used it for my last renewal and aced the shooting portion. I would reccomend it to a potential buyer but like all purchases, you should try it yourself first.

While I do not daily carry a CZ-P 01, I do own one, have shot it a bunch, enough to make me comfortable carry it for self defense if I so decided. , and have carried a CZ-75 for many years.
For me the P001 points well, fits my hand, carry’s well in an OWB holster, I do not own a IWB holster so cannot comment on that.
My P-01 shoots all ammo I feed it with no issues; I do not have any recorded FTE or FTF. I mostly shoot WWB, or Federal stuff, but have ran dozens of boxes of blazer as well.. I have never shot Wolf steel case though it. My self defense load in 9mm is Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. It feeds, and shoots great from the P-01.
Not sure, what else you are looking for, so if you have a specific question ask, I’ll reply If I have an observation that covers.
My Next CZ, will be a CZ SP01 Phantom .. Why? Because I don’t have one yet.

Well, SP-01 is fully metal, heavy. This makes it a great and the most accurate of all my guns. From what I read, P-01 has alloy frame. Probably great for carry, lighter it is. However, does it make the gun feel differently from SP-01 due to smaller size and alloy frame? I held it a few times in gun shops but never fired it.

Re: Anyone carries CZ P-01? Need a review.
I had a CZ75 P-01 for about 4 years. Every time I practiced at the range, I was always disappointed with my shooting, especially the first DA shot. I never got to like the gun. One day at the range I fired my friends Glock 26, and was magically transformed into a decent shooter! I bought a G26 the next day after a side by side shooting comparison with the SA XD9. I shot the G26 much, much better. So I guess it's all a matter of personal choice, and what works well for you. Also, I thought the disassembly pin on the CZ was a real pain to get out. The mfg recommends the edge of the magazine be used to push it out after aligning the marks. Never was easy for me. YMMV.
