Range Day around Grand Prarie\DFW?

Post by snatchel »

Hey y'all. Made it to DFW, and now we are just waiting for the Rangers game tomorrow evening and then fly out on Tuesday. If anyone here in the area is doing a range day today let me know. My wife went out with her old high school friend and I've been left to my own muses (therefore, sitting around being a forum\facebook\tv junkie all day).

On a side note, rode with my bud in Arlington PD last night. They are good folks. Unfortunatly we arrested an 11 year old and an 10 year old for burglary of a habitation. 11 & 10. The boys were caught red handed, with the stolen property, and the parents were absolutely adamant their kiddos were innocent. Im not a parent, but I dont have to be to know that defending your kid like this is not helping the problem. Just saying.

Those parents will say the same thing when the kids are a little older and rob a bank.

They'll also blame the bank for tempting them by storing so much money.

Go check out Great Southwest Range in Grand Prairie. Paul is a member here ("MrPaul") and a great guy who has a really nice, comfortable indoor range.

EDITED TO ADD: Good rental gun selection too ... I put 50 rounds through an FN FiveseveN while I was there this past spring - FUN gun to shoot.

Dang! You missed a range day with me and my son by one day. We were at Elm Fork on Saturday, shooting a couple of M1As, a Remington 700, a RRA varminter, and a couple of nicely set up AR carbines. We would have been glad to have you along. Unfortunately, I've got a ton of work to do, so I can't take a day to goof off and go to the range again.

You would have had a chance to meet AndyC too, as he was there that day also.
