How do you know if the TSA is lying?

The same way you do with any alphabet agency. Are they communicating? Then they are not being truthful.

Apparently the TSA never tested scanners for mass transit--except it did? Huh?

They demonstrate a Clintonesque mastery of word parsing (definition of "is", anyone?). A simpleton like me just calls it lying.

Actually, the article is interesting to read just to see the word parsing games demonstrated.

Is it because their lips are moving or they're sending memos with words to someone?

Sorry, couldn't help it.

It's not just the TSA playing word games and lying by omission --this technique has become standard practice throughout government, business, and the media. Whenever there is money or power at stake someone is lying about something, and the favored technique is the lie by omission.

I remember my father quoting a verse to me when I would try to lie and get away with it "Do not be decieved, God is not mocked, whatever a man sows he also reaps." Some of these guys sow some pretty bad stuff---would not want to be in their shoes when they reap what they have put into the ground.
